Go touch some grass.
Before you spend another evening watching the AI YouTube bros tell you how to write a better prompt or MCP your RAG to spawn your army of agents, go talk to another human being… in person. (or IRL as the kids say)
I don’t want to come off as an AI hater here. I’m not. These are useful tools.
But you get the evangelists and the true believers who think AI is going to handle all of the interaction so they never have to talk to people anymore.
Here’s a little story. Last night I was sending an email to a client where I had to explain where things had gone wrong.
Gmail’s little AI underlined my whole email. “We can rewrite this for clarity.”
So just for giggles, I looked at it.
It took all the soul, the nuance, and all the fun out of my message and made it dull and boring.
Hated it.
And to be fair, sometimes I do need a little editing for clarity. I can ramble. But usually I’m rambling for a purpose.
Right now it is much more valuable for you to go outside and learn how to talk to people.
You’d be better off going to a bar and striking up a conversation. And dudes, that doesn’t mean go hit on the ladies. Just sit at the bar, put your phone away, and talk to somebody.
You’ll get a real reply back. And if they ignore you? Maybe that’s because you don’t know how to talk to people.
That’s the problem with learning to talk to AI. The chatbots are useful, but they’re also sycophants. They tell you what you want to hear so you keep using them. And you keep forgetting how to actually talk to an actual human being.
